Obama is raising more money via the Internet in small donations than any candidate in history. Hooray! But it is just as true that he is raising more money from fat cat donations than any candidate in history.

Last week a mix of water and sanitation experts gathered for World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden to mull over the world's biggest public health crisis. The problem is that not enough people paid attention.

"In The Great Schlep, Jewish grandchildren visit their grandparents in Florida, educate them about Obama, and swing the crucial Florida vote."
Rick Hasen, 09.09.2008
The race is indeed tightening, which explains why the Obama campaign wants a lot of money -- a little panic is probably a good thing from their perspective.
John K. Wilson, 06.24.2008
It was McCain who never tried to meet Obama on campaign finance. As the story has unfolded, the press consistently fails to mention that McCain, not Obama, violated the campaign finance laws.

Why am I not surprised that Ayers, master of publicity is once more making front page headlines. I'm betting he's thrilled.
Matthew Dowd, 06.23.2008
Obama's brand involves a new kind of politics, something that doesn't involve political expediency -- which is why it was a blunder to flip flop on public campaign finance for the general election.
Grande Lum, 08.13.2008
There are many people like me who do are not experienced at raising campaign funds, but who are doing so for the first time, because of a newfound belief in politics, Obama and the urgency of the situation.

I was in a hotel room breaking up with the man I'd been living with for five years when that white Bronco came on the TV. We stopped breaking up and stayed together through most of the trial.

SPEAKING OF MONEY:
With all the lamenting going on about the economy and the markets, why is this being ignored? ....It was at the root of the problem.
WHO SHOULD OVERSEE THE FIX and WHO SHOULD BE HEADING TO JAIL?
If you"re a Congressman who fed at the trough of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, give the money back. Plus, what the executives did was illegal. Taking their cash favors was morally bankrupt.
Some executives and some in Congress should see jail time, starting with all Senators who took cash from Fannie and Freddie?
I don't make much money, point in fact I'm lucky if I can put $20 into my savings account each month, but every chance I've gotten I've sent Obama $15, or $20, or whatever piddly amount I thought I could I could spare. That's how this is happening and when McCrank or his surrogates whine that Obama abandoned the public finance idea I pee my pants a little from laughing so hard. These are not corporate donors or lobbyists., they're the teacher, the minister, the drywaller.... I love it so much I've photographed every online donation I've made so when I don't have enough to give I just look at the picture to feel good.
