Has Cindy McCain been playing in Hillary's pantsuit depot again? For the first of her husband's debates against Barack Obama, Cindy "the human tomato"...
The real insights came in the revelations about the way each man thinks under pressure, and the way they interacted. The overall effect was exactly the opposite of what McCain hoped to achieve.
In the wake of McCain-Palin visits to North Carolina, a string of election season crimes have occurred around the state involving violence, vandalism, and harassment.
I believe now is the time for Obama to consider a bolder and more historic approach to the financial crisis by presenting to middle income Americans a step-by-step "big think" FDR-style New Deal program.
Last week, the Brady Center released its report on the impact of military-style semi-automatic assault weapons on American families and law enforcemen...
The election of Illinois Senator Barack Obama as America's 44th president is astounding, historical, implausible, improbable and completely without precedent.

A few days ago, I met Sam. Joe the Plumber should really meet Sam, too. Sam owns over 100 gas stations in southern California and 25 restaurant franchises. He has over 800 employees working for him.
Obama needs to do precisely what he has not done thus far in debates -- connect with voters in a way that makes them feel like they know and share his values, and confident that he will keep them and their families safe.
At the end of the debate, Brokaw asked McCain to get out of the way of his Teleprompter. He might as well have been speaking on behalf of the future: Senator McCain can you please get out of the way so we can get on with it?
If John McCain thinks Americans are angry, it's either because he's projecting, or else he's simply been going to too many of his own rallies.
Obama's eloquent election-night speech in Grant Park is surely one of the great moments in Chicago history.
This debate was won on the reaction shots. Every time Obama spoke, McCain grimaced, sneered, or rolled his eyes. Every time McCain was on the attack, Obama smiled - underlining McCain's need for anger management. Mccain and Palin and their ilk don't laugh. They patronize. They don't smile, they snicker. They don't debate, they denigrate. They don't talk, they condescend. They don't argue, they ridicule.

I really don't like all this nuclear power talk............
I'm sick to death of everyone calling these "town hall" meetings. They have no resemblance to town hall meetings where everyone is invited and opposing ideas are presented and solutions decided. McCain's campaign meeting participants are so heavily screened and fawn over him - it's no wonder why reality is pissing him off so much. It's like a fundie church where everyone only listens to "Christian music" and "Christian radio" and watches "Christian TV." It's willful ignorance of the scary but nonetheless real world.
What happened to the King of town hall meetings McCain?
CNN poll said Obama articulated his answers better 60% to 30% for McCain.
I am laughing at all the tro//s who said Obama could not debate and had to read off the teleprompter when McCain looked out of sorts and sounded incoherent at times.
Their were two high points to the debate for me.
First when McCain agreed with Obama on foreign policy
The best moment was when Obama started saying saying that McCain called Obama green behind the ears and McCain interrupted and agreed but then Obama pivoted and smacked McCain in the face with B omb B omb Iran, obliterate North Korea and even after the Afghanistan war saying Baghdad next.
And McSaine said that was just a joke with one of my friends? Hey its on the internet (you tube) and that is not funny it was totally irrespossible.
No amount of smear can prevent coming landslide

I'm hearing a lot of "game over", "it's over", etc...
Let's not get complacent and not put too much trust in the polls. Act like we are 8 points behind instead of ahead. There's still lot's of work to be done in the next 28 days of eternity. Think NFL playoffs. We just won the first 2 rounds in a sweep. Now comes the conference championship (3rd debate) followed by the Superbowl (election night). We can all breath a sigh of relief and celebrate when we win the big one, the one that counts.
No sweep. Obama can't get above 49 percent in realclearpolitics average. Which means electoral college.
