HANG ON A SECOND GUYS! (enough of the kudos to SS)
Personally I think the Secret Service itself can be the problem even though they are the best at reconnaissance missions. IMHO, the reason high profile murders never get solved (including JFK one) is that they are predominantly INSIDE jobs. Who will guard the guard? If I were Obama, I would make sure there is very strong counter-intelligence in place. No ordinary KK* thug will 'sniper' a fast-moving target or a very distant object just like that in spite of their bloodthirstiness. Long life to you President Obama!

That guy watching over the Obama household looks a little chubby to be in the Sercret Service doesn't he? What are the qualifications for being allowed into the service? I know I would want some lean and muscular mother-effers if I were in Obama's position

The Secret Service WANT you to see them armed and arrayed like that. They want you to be aware of their presence around the protectee and want you to know they're watching every move, with weapons at the ready.

They don't want to be too obvious about it, because this is, after all a democracy and people need to be able to access their president to a certain degree.

But all in all, they're very interested in you knowing they're there and packing.
