The very first reader of my previous HuffPost piece interpreted some quotes I used so differently than I'd intended that I worried I'd been criminally...
David Quigg, 11.19.2008
When we let shock or panic or a lust for vengeance guide us, we are a greater danger to ourselves than terrorists ever could be. Any terrorists. With any weapon.
Jeffrey Shaffer, 11.18.2008
Let the pup socialize with people. Grab an old shirt from Biden so the little tyke gets accustomed to his scent in the Oval Office, and can track him down quickly if the senate needs to break a tie.
Stephen C. Rose, 11.16.2008
The situation in Afghanistan weighs more and more heavily on us. I took it up in a Huffington Post piece a while back titled Could Barack Obama Suffer...
Khaled Hosseini, 11.18.2008
I hope Obama's renewed commitment to Afghanistan extends far beyond the mere bolstering of coalition forces. What the Afghan people need is international attention to serious failures in the civil sector.
Steve Kettmann, 11.14.2008
choice of Hillary Clinton to be his Secretary of State would represent a great show of respect to our allies that he wants the best available person to handle the job of being his top diplomat.
Jamal Dajani, 11.14.2008
Obama had said that he was prepared to hold tough presidential negotiations without preconditions with Iran; it seems that he may just have to do so earlier than he might have expected.
Jamal Dajani, 10.15.2008
Many Afghans working for the Afghan security forces are now switching sides and are now defecting to the Taliban. Guess who trained many of them? Blackwater!
Andrew Bacevich, 11.11.2008
Whether attributable to incompetence or negligence or simply the fog and friction of war, the evidence that we are routinely killing the wrong people in Afghanistan is becoming difficult to refute.
Scott Kesterson, 11.05.2008
Eastern Afghanistan--In the early hours of the morning, an Army Captain watched as the election results were being reported. He shook his head in disgust. "This is proof that the media can elect a President."
Mort Rosenblum, 11.18.2008
Real news has a value like a gallon of gas or a pound of flour. Reporters have to go get it, and editors need to make sure it is accurate. Buy the real thing; it is cheaper than a cup of coffee.
David Henry Sterry, 11.08.2008
The bottom line, economically, is that there is a big beautiful sexy cash cow to be milked here.
Paul Rieckhoff, 12.31.2007
The holidays are a tough time of year for our troops and their families back home, so we at IAVA came up with something pretty damn cool for them.
Harry Shearer, 11.05.2008
President-Elect Obama is clearly a very smart guy and a very good politician. Unlike the last Dem with those credentials, he's also exceedingly disciplined. Those qualities will come up against a couple of very major problems.
Peter Schwartz, 11.10.2008
The surviving Republican members of Congress will do their best to make Obama's life miserable.
Lincoln Mitchell, 11.11.2008
If we are serious about moving the US into a post-partisan, or at least a less partisan, phase, it is neither fair, reasonable nor wise to place all the burden of doing this on the president-elect.

You say Osama. We say Obama. Osama, Obama. Obama, Osama. Let's call the whole thing off.
Why is this Guy Still Alive? After 7 Years and a Trillion Dollars he's still alive. We should put a $1Bil bounty on Their heads. For this kind of money someone is bound to produce. Even the Strongest Ideology has a Price.
Al-Z's remarks make AQ seem ridiculous and cartoonish. If they don't watch out, AQ guys might find themselves laughed out of existence, like the KKK was when its members found themselves depicted as ghosts in the comics.
Al-Qaeda says that they want us out of Iraq and Afghanastan, ot they will attack us. Didn't they attack us before we were there? They wanted us out of Saudi Arabia before 9/11, now they don't even mention it. These guys are sounding idiotic and desparate. We should be able to crush them, with the help of the rest of the middle east.
Obama will have a New Credibility with Mainstream Muslem Leaders. This is what Al-Qaeda Fears most. More Muslems are turning against Al-Qaeda. At this point Al-Qaeda has killed more muslems than Americans. Even though he is a Christain, his Last Name is an asset. They are getting tired of having their children and grandmothers maimed by Al-Qaeda..If Obama plays it right and gets the Islamic leaders on his side, he will win the war on terror. There is No other way.
