David Plouffe for DNC Chair?
As the manager of Obama's campaign, Plouffe steered the best-run presidential campaign in years. He efficiently matched man, message, money, and machine.

Plouffe would be a guarantee of smarts, a no-drama hand on the tiller, a likely tranformer of the Obama Movememt into a Democratic Party on steroids.
These contests will help determine whether the party can hold off Republicans' attempts to seize back control of Congress, or add seats to the Democratic majority they gained in 2006.
Let's talk about Obama's energy policy and if it is the right step. Let's talk about the Iraq war and the war in Afghanistan and which candidate's choices demonstrated a greater quality of experience.
I'm concerned as to how the traditional media will frame Barack Obama. If the cover of TIME's convention preview is any indication, we're in trouble.
What now? Our primary goal is to unite the millions of disaffected Democrats and to hold the DNC and its leadership accountable this November and beyond, working to defeat key players and create fairer elections.
I realized last night we were witnessing something historic: Michelle Obama is the first woman to embrace/embody a post-feminist view of a presidential spouse.

Obama's win hardly puts an end to this system of racism, but it's still momentous, because it shows us a way forward, a way to reduce if not eliminate racial injustice and inequality.
The Clintons' narcissism perfumed every bit of Hillary's campaign, and it leaked down to her contributors and followers. "Were you in it for me?" was the funniest line of her speech.
Now that the touch-screen voting machine that Oprah voted on failed to properly register her vote on the screen, perhaps we may finally be able to get rid of these damned things.

These portraits were taken in the chaotic heart of the Colorado Convention Center during the DNC. They reveal the faces of people who know that hope is much harder to hold onto than fear.
Obama's strength is and has been the degree to which he promises a break from the way we've come to understand national politics. That is the opposite of the stage-managed convention.
For the right-wing commentariat, Peggy Noonan's snark this morning was a Katrina moment. It was a benchmark for how out of it and, well, disgusting, that crowd is.

The way Mccains people use anything and everything that happens to attack Obams, such as blaming Obama for Madonna's concert, they'll probably say he's feeding his kids crack. On a serious note, it's nice to see real humans up there on the stage and that shows what a normal and great family he has raised.
What have they said about Madonna's concert?or are you just being sarcy........... I know she had a pop at McCrumblie but have not heard anything else..... just got up though so haven't read the papers yet.
Tucker Bounds made a comment about Senator Obama having lots of friends who like to throw bombs. Didn't really have anything to do with Madonna, it was just a way to bring up Ayers.
It'll be nice to see those kids in the White House. I remember another kid in the White House, during Rea-gun's time.... the vice president's ne'er-do-well son, I think is the term St Ronnie used.
Morning Indy.Left you a reply on the Obama Binden rally in Illinois thread........... gave you slapped legs!!!(not really, just asked you a question, check it out)
I agree with you over the kids..... I'm looking forward to seeing them with the dog........ I can remember longing for my first dog when I was a kid,but then I am a sucker for animals.Hope they get a scruffy mutt from the dogs home!!
