How Do I Thank Thee, Sarah Palin?

Winners: The Davids - Axelrod and Plouffe: they spearheaded a near flawless campaign. Katie Couric: her multi-part interview with Sarah Palin was the turning point in how the country saw Palin -- and by extension John McCain. And she did it in a way that left no room for accusations of being unfair or playing "Gotcha!" Michelle Obama: smarts, grace, style, charm, and a serious "good mommy" vibe -- she's got the whole package. Losers: Joe Lieberman: failed to deliver Democrats, independents, or Jews. And on the way to losing his committee chairmanships. Liddy Dole: her "Godless" ad will be taught in What Not To Do poli sci classes for a century. Joe the Plumber: the clock just hit 15 minutes, and the wakeup call will not be pleasant.
Sarah Palin hasn't gone away. Oh, she may be back in Alaska, but she's also all over the media, as in recent interviews with Greta Van Susteren on Fox...
No, it's not her infamous Russia answer nor her inexplicable financial bailout response. It's not her latest admission that she doesn't really read any newspapers. It's an overlooked clip from the original Couric interview about Hamas.
The National Guard story deserves to be examined again and this may be the only way to accomplish that. A lawsuit also gives him that delicious power of discovery. Who knows what might shake loose?
Last week a mix of water and sanitation experts gathered for World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden to mull over the world's biggest public health crisis. The problem is that not enough people paid attention.
It turns out that Katie is no amateur yogi, as she gamely kicked off her shoes, flipped upside down, and showed a room full of yoga instructors, entranced onlookers, and journalists exactly how it's done.
What if, midway through, Palin is doing okay, or better than okay? If you're Joe Biden, are you going to just sit there and let her play you to a draw - or beat you? On the biggest stage Biden has ever been on, is he going to let himself get shown up by someone everybody knows is an idiot? Or does Biden get agitated, and start looking for opportunities to attack, to pin Palin down, to put her in her place? If Biden stops playing it safe, all bets are off. He might be brilliant, but things might also go horribly wrong.
The near-complete blackout on the Pentagon propaganda story, self-imposed by the culpable news organizations, is a despicable abdication of their role as a constitutionally protected check on our government. Plenty of us have experienced that moment when the job of your dreams seems to drop into your lap--but just too early in your career, when you just have to say, thanks but no thanks.
There has been a slow trickle of online clips from Katie Couric's interview with Sarah Palin. Like water torture they've come out night after night. D...
As many know, in her Oct. 3 "do-over" interview with Carl Cameron of Fox News, Sarah Palin claimed to read the New York Times and the Economist. Then...
Proposed just as Mercury was preparing to retrograde, the [bailout] plan had no chance for quick approval. Delays, misunderstandings, review and reanalysis should only have been expected.
If the news magazines and newspapers are correct, Katie Couric's career at CBS, much like Dan Rather's, is toast.
For news junkies, the fun has just begun. There's an administration to cast, speculation about post-election deals, mergers and maneuvers. And how about the people who deliver the news?
He did the strangest thing last night: He turned the TV off. There he was, still in the early part of the evening, with another hour or two of pol...

Wow, "girlkiwi." Like, wow. And also, therefore, too (as Sarah Palin would likely say).
You really don't get it, do you? Sarah Palin was/is, singlehandedly, the least qualified person ever to be handed the nomination for Vice President of the United States of America. To say this is "sexist"? "Bashing"? Katie Couric was "condescending"? You, my friend, are SEXIST. A male candidate would have been "fired" from the ticket immediately if he had given similar answers to such softball questions. Give me a break. Finally, let me point out that you defeat your proposition and completely nullify your credibility when you assert that "republicans are stupid." FYI: I am an independent who has voted for Republicans in the past. I take my responsible as a voting citizen of the United States of American VERY SERIOUSLY.
The general view amongst these people who got to interview Palin is that she'll be back. She got a taste and now she won't be content to stay in that backwater Alaska.
Well, perhaps with the economy tanking and America struggling, the idea of being well educated will not be such a joke to Americans.
Perhaps when Ms. Palin rears her head up from the West again, her poor showing on basic education will disgust many Americans - especially young Americans. After all, she is a woman who has two children out of high school and neither of them graduated. That's OK when our country needs the best educated citizens it can produce?
No, Ms. Palin's time is over if we're to succeed and excel.
I'm hoping more for a quick interest in excellence. The type of children showcased in Homer Hickham's book, ROCKET BOYS. The type of Americans who see challenges from around the world and meet those challenges with excellence. Ms. Palin does not embody that.
great video showing what a lightweight palin is -
