The more editorial cartoonist Mike Luckovich sees of Barack Obama, the more he likes the President-elect. Oddly enough, this turn of events has the Pulitzer Prize winning artist very, very worried.

Last week, during an interview with Barbara Walters, President-Elect Obama made cruel fun of my dog, gratuitously and without any sort of provocation.

"The most stressful moment is definitely the moments when he asks me for something and I know before I even start looking for it that I don't have it. But I still give a good search around for it."

I thought it was quite contradictory -- and a lost opportunity -- that Newsweek's cover was black-and-white ... and Michelle is so (bathed in) light.

Most of us can learn a thing or two from this woman who came from humble beginnings on the South Side of Chicago to excel at the country's top institutions, with the goal of helping others.

Winners: The Davids - Axelrod and Plouffe: they spearheaded a near flawless campaign. Katie Couric: her multi-part interview with Sarah Palin was the turning point in how the country saw Palin -- and by extension John McCain. And she did it in a way that left no room for accusations of being unfair or playing "Gotcha!" Michelle Obama: smarts, grace, style, charm, and a serious "good mommy" vibe -- she's got the whole package. Losers: Joe Lieberman: failed to deliver Democrats, independents, or Jews. And on the way to losing his committee chairmanships. Liddy Dole: her "Godless" ad will be taught in What Not To Do poli sci classes for a century. Joe the Plumber: the clock just hit 15 minutes, and the wakeup call will not be pleasant.
Michael Seitzman, 11.17.2008
The Republicans are in a period of "soul searching." And by "soul searching" they really mean, "Who do I have to kill to be in charge here?" The answer, of course, appears to be Sarah Palin.

And this is news, why? What is with the tabloid style reporting? So First Lady Obama is responsible for her COUSIN's actions? Is the traditional media serious? No wonder the U.S. media is in the cr@pper and low on the list of credible news internationally.
