For the sixth year running, Melbourne has taken out the World's Most Liveable City.

By now you'd be aware that Melbourne has retained her crown as the world's most liveable city for the sixth year running, granting Victorians full bragging rights for at least the next 12 months.

The Victorian capital beat out 140 of the world's major cities in the annual Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) global liveability survey, taking out the top spot and narrowly beating Vienna and Vancouver.

Sadly, Sydney failed to retain its top ten status, dropping to eleventh place while Adelaide and Perth came in at sixth and seventh place respectively.

The EUI index scores each city in healthcare, education, stability, culture, environment and infrastructure, but these pictures alone prove the pure grace of the modest East Coast city.
