Aishwarya Rai's Cannes 2013 gown would have made the late Elizabeth Taylor proud.
The gorgeous Bollywood star came out to play on Tuesday at the 50th anniversary "Cleopatra" screening at the Cannes Film Festival, wearing a regal satin teal gown that came with a long train and one-shouldered bandeau top.
Always choosing elegance over revealing, the 39-year-old piled her hair up into a chic updo which revealed her gorgeous diamond earrings (Liz would approve!) and wore bright fuchsia lips which complemented her glowing olive skin tone. Does Aishwarya ever have a style miss?
We're a bit disappointed that Rai didn't bring one important accessory to the red carpet: her adorable 18-month-old daughter, Aaradhya, who was spotted wearing an impossibly cute pink outfit at an airport with her famous mom while travelling to the chic city. But we understand that a long red carpet with dozens of screaming photographers could be a bit overwhelming for a toddler.
Besides, it would be a bit hard for "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World" to hold on to a child while wearing long lace gowns and delicate embroidered frocks at the most fashionable event of the year.
What do you think of Aishwarya's dress?
