For perhaps the first time since she snuck into our hearts as Miss World, Aishwarya Rai was not the centre of attention.
The green-eyed stunner recently attended a close friend's wedding and for once she wasn't the belle of the ball.
The Bollywood stunner was photographed surrounded by husband Abhishek's family, the Bachchans, including patriarch Amitabh Bachchan, wife Jaya, their daughter Shweta and her two children, Agastya and Navya.
Amitabh Bachchan, who starred in this year's "The Great Gatsby," tweeted his happiness:
"A day with the family and the children and the well wishers of Sunday .. later a wedding event of friend .. fully final day !!"
Even though Ash is a Bollywood superstar, the Cannes Film Festival favourite stood demurely behind her hubby's family, wearing a pink outfit (from what we can tell) and let her gorgeous niece revel in the spotlight. The only person missing from the picture? Aishwarya's beautiful daughter Aaradhya!
Perhaps the 39-year-old was taking a night off from looking after the future Most Beautiful Woman in the World (and heiress of mom's beautiful saris).
The "Pink Panther 2" star has been on a self-imposed break from filming movies ever since she gave birth to her daughter in 2011 and although rumours keep swirling that she is about to make her return to the silver screen any day now, so far, the reports have been proven false.
So while we patiently wait for our favourite Bollywood style maven to return to her natural habitat, we will have to make do with looking at few and far between photos of her. Even if we can barely see her outfit.
