Who can forget Alexander McQueen's legendary Armadillo boot from his Plato's Atlantis collection? The iconic footwear was the talk of the spring 2010 ready-to-wear shows, thanks to its futuristic design and jaw-dropping 12-inch heels.
Well, the House of McQueen is bringing back three pairs to be auctioned off in the Christie's Handbags & Accessories Auction, with all proceeds benefiting UNICEF's earthquake relief effort in Nepal. The bidding starts at a cool $10,000 and will run until July 23rd.

The handcrafted wooden and python skin boots were designed by Lee Alexander McQueen, shortly before his untimely death in February 2010. Only 21 pairs exists, with several currently on display at the Savage Beauty exhibition in London's Victoria and Albert Museum. Lady Gaga, Daphne Guinness and Kelis being among the few celebrities who have been seen in them.
