Andranik Karapetyan, Armenian Weightlifter, Suffers Unholy Elbow Injury

It's horrific.

Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan is out of the 2016 Olympic Games after sustaining a horrific elbow injury while trying to lift 195 kilograms on Wednesday.

Karapetyan, a gold medal winner at the 2016 European Weightlifting Championships, was making his second attempt at a clean and jerk lift in the 77-kilogram competition when his elbow appeared to dislodge, NBC reported.

Nijat Rahimov of Kazakhstan went on to take Olympic gold.
