Arcade Fire's Win Butler very busy on stage but the musician had the decency to halt a Cleveland gig Sunday night to help a concert goer in obvious distress.
As shown in this YouTube clip above, the band were performing "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" at Cleveland Quicken Loans Arena on March 16. Although the song is primarily Regine Chassagne doing lead vocals, Butler is shown behind her adding harmonies and hitting a cowbell. Approximately 40 seconds into the clip Butler seems to be looking at the crowd intently but remains onstage. After staring into the audience for another 35 seconds he quickly walks down to the lip of an extended stage and lifts a male out of the crowd before a roadie assists him in getting the seemingly passed-out man some help.
The song continues for a few seconds after that before the band stops as Butler waves at security to get their attention. The musician than extends his arms almost in a "what the hell?" manner towards security as to why nothing was done. Security then takes the male over the barrier as the band looks on. Butler then looks again at security and makes a gesture indicating the fan should've been pulled out of the crowd.
"Everyone okay?" Butler says. "I think he's okay. I think he's just...heat exhaustion or something. I think he's alright."
From there Butler asks the crowd if they want the band to try the song again from the start. "Let's take it from the f--king top, do you want to hear it from the top?" Another YouTube clip from the floor shows the incident from a slightly different angle.

The show continued without any problems as did the tour itself, which reached Philadelphia last night and featured the band covering Boyz II Men's "Motownphilly" during the concert. The group has covered different groups in different cities during this tour, including covering Prince in Minneapolis and then Constantines during their Toronto stop last week.
The tour continues this evening in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
