Twenty-five years into their reign as Canada's most genial export, it's hard to imagine that anyone could have ever been offended by their silly name. But the politically-fuelled media uproar that got them banned from a 1991 New Year's Eve concert in Toronto and thrust them into the spotlight from which they never left is usually applied to more serious, if no less absurd topics.
Which is what makes their amazing new video for "Odds Are," off their aptly-named summer album "Grinning Streak," is such a pleasure. Filmed by Rooster Teeth, it puts Ed Robertson and band into the anchor chairs as they go over countless, hilarious scare-mongering scenarios before determining that the "odds are we will probably be alright."
