B.C. Wedding Venues: 5 Spots For Mini-Destination 'I Do's'

All of them stunning.

British Columbia has no shortage of beautiful places for loved ones to tie the knot.

With mountain ranges, ocean views, lake getaways, and forests that seem to go on for ages, it's hard to go wrong — it's just very hard to pick a venue.

For those couples looking for a more intimate, mini-destination wedding, here are five gorgeous places to exchange vows.

Located in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, this 300-acre spot offers a natural, rustic venue for a wedding. A 3,600-sq.-ft. timber-frame, hand-cut barn serves as the main venue.

The Fraser River Lodge is a popular place for couples looking for a "destination" feel without having to travel too far into the backcountry. The log home sits on 18 acres overlooking Mount Cheam, and the view is stunning.

This venue embodies tranquil, West Coast living. Two lodges overlook the ocean, and there are nearly two dozen cabins to house guests. Ceremonies often happen on the beach or in front of an indoor, stone fireplace.

The gondola, which is only a few years old, is a tourist hotspot — but it also makes a great spot for weddings. The Squamish venue offers amazing views of the Stawamus Chief and Howe Sound, and there's a few options when it comes to choosing exactly where to say "I do."

Tucked in the Fraser Valley, this English-style home was turned into a bed and breakfast that sits right on the edge of the Harrison River. Gardens, ponds, creeks, and, of course, the manor itself serve as a lovely backdrop for a ceremony and photos.
