For Brazil's national team, a chance to be World Cup champions on home soil has ended in a crushing defeat.

The host nation fell 7-1 to Germany in the semifinal game on Tuesday, and that has predictably left the players in agony.

They may look like they're diving, but this was one situation in which on-pitch theatrics were perfectly appropriate.
