Carino Japanese Bistro Gives Family A Discount For "Well-Behaved Kids"

You Won't Believe Why This Restaurant Gave A Family A Discount

What a nice Mother's Day gift.

A Calgary restaurant surprised a family on Sunday by deducting $5 from their bill for their toddler's good manners, according to a photo of a receipt shared on Reddit.

"Out for Mother's Day brunch today with our one year old daughter, when we received our bill," user looseONtheGoose captioned the photo.

The redditor, Daley Walsh, told the Huffington Post his family "never expected" to be rewarded for their daughter Evie's behaviour.

"With Evie being our first child and hitting her first-year, it felt like getting an A on your parenting report card."

The photo went viral Monday. Carino Japanese Bistro's owner told CTV Calgary the restaurant is small, and so they appreciate kids who are well-mannered.

Another restaurant in Seattle received a lot of attention last year after they revealed they also offer discounts for well-behaved children.
