Hallelujah!

I'm very fortunate to have relatively acne-free skin.

Growing up, I seldom had any pimples, except for those painful, under-the-skin buggers that would either show up during that time of the month, or when I had a very special event to go to (namely, prom). I still get them to this day.

The problem with these "blind pimples" is that they take FOREVER to go away. They'll creep up suddenly, and eventually grow bigger and more painful before finally sub-missing into a whitehead that can be popped and banished forever (or, you know, until the next one comes around).

I used to swear by Neutrogena's Stress Control Sore Pimple Gel, but alas, they do not sell it anymore, leaving me S.O.L.

That is, until I started using Charlotte Tilbury's Goddess Skin Clay Mask.

I was first introduced to the product when Charlotte herself came to Canada to launch her eponymous makeup line. She made us all apply a thick layer of product onto our hands, and leave it on for 10 minutes, before wiping away to reveal magically transformed, baby-esque skin.

Naturally, I was hooked, and began using it regularly, or whenever my skin needed a pick-me-up.

Then one day, after removing the mask from my skin, I noticed that my newly-formed under-the-skin pimple had risen to the surface and been transformed into a whitehead. I was able to get rid of it right away, and was left pimple (and sore)-free thereafter.

The supercharged mask quite literally sucked out my pimple from the depths of my pores.

And it wasn't a fluke. Since then, I've been putting on a thick layer of the mask on any pimples that form, whether they're of the blind variety or the very rare blemish that pops onto my chin. After leaving it on for 10-20 minutes (or overnight, if I'm really desperate), I'm left with a fully surfaced pimple that can easily be taken care of.

Charlotte, you truly are magic.
