Fake Foot Found In Montreal: Plastic Limb Causes False Alarm

Fake Foot Causes Panic
Handout

Police on Montreal were on alert on Wednesday morning when an object that appeared to be a human foot was found in the Notre Dame area.

But it was quickly revealed that the foot was fake and not connected to the grisly murder case which saw the discovery of a torso in Montreal and body parts being mailed across the country.

The case has gripped media in Canada and abroad after police named Luka Rocco Magnotta, a porn actor and male model, as the main suspect in the grisly case. Magnotta became subject to an international man hunt and was arrested on Monday in Berlin. The victim in the case is believed to be Jun Lin, a 33-year-old Chinese student studying at Concordia University. He is believed to have known Magnotta.

On Tuesday, two more body parts were mailed to schools in B.C., police confirmed early on Wednesday morning that the body parts were sent from Montreal.
