Funny School PTA Form Proves Teachers Have A Sense Of Humour

One school came up with a hilarious way to get parents out of helping at annual fundraisers.

On Tuesday, Texas mom Dee Heinz shared a PTA form that gave parents options to donate money in lieu of participating in school events. Beside each donation was a hilarious reason why the parent chose it.

A donation of $15, for instance, tells the school, “I do not want to bake so here is the money I would have spent on those cupcakes.” And a donation of $100 says, “I really wouldn’t have helped out anyway, so here is $100 to forget my name."

On Facebook, this “Alternative Fundraiser” got plenty of love from amused parents. One mom wrote: “I was wondering about such options when my daughter came home with her first fundraiser the second week of school. I'd have much rather seen these options!!”

Another commented: “I bet they raise a TON more money this way.”

Heinz, who originally posted the note, told CNN that this alternative fundraiser makes the school year less overwhelming, especially for parents with more than one child.

“When you have three children and extracurriculars and homework, one simple fundraiser is never just one simple fundraiser,” she said. “It's usually three and we can't approach the same family members for all three of them.”

Since Tuesday, the PTA form has gone viral, with over 165,000 shares. Clearly a little sense of humour goes a long way!
