Employee Fired After Ignoring Crying Girl On B.C. Rock-Climbing Wall

The video is hard to watch.

An employee caught ignoring a girl stuck on a rock climbing wall in Surrey, B.C. has lost her job.

Happy Lani posted a video of the worker sitting on her cellphone while the girl cried for help.

Lani took the footage so she could show the company what happened, then said she promptly ended her daughter's rock-climbing lesson.

"It broke my heart not to run and help my daughter right away," the mom wrote. "But I needed to capture this as evidence."

On Thursday, Funtopia Surrey commented on the video saying that the employee in question had been fired.

"It's really disturbing and definitely not normal," read the comment. "I can assure you that she will not work a single minute more in our location."

They company added that it also gave Lani a full refund.
