After months of research and swatches you finally got your wedding outfits in order. Colour coordinated, jewelry and make up synced with footwear to match or compliment the outfit. But once all the hoopla is over, does that expensive outfit get packed-never-to-see-the-daylight again? That doesn't sound right. The good news is that you can revamp and recycle our weddings outfit and turn it into a brand new look all you need is a little bit of creativity and a lot of confidence.
Below are 6 ways in which you are reuse your wedding lehenga:
Recycling Tip 1: Break the wedding lehenga set.
Duppata -- Pair the heavy dupatta with a plain raw silk suit, or a complimenting salwar kameez.
Choli -- Pair it with another one of your Sarees Lehenga. Match it with another choli, corset or a crop top and use a contrast dupatta from the colour tones of your lehenga.
Recycling Tip 2: Add waistcoat or a long jacket with the lehenga to tone down its embellishments.
Recycling Tip 3: Convert your lehenga into an anarkali and get more bang for your buck. You can still use the dupatta with the suit.
Recycling Tip 4: Use accessories and jewelry to dress-up or dress down the look e.g. pair a plain button down with the skirt and dress it down with a belt. Or pair a plain tunic over the lehenga and add oodles of jewelry to dress up.
Recycling Tip 5: Go sleeveless! This is a popular choice for many young women, but more importantly, the sleeveless blouse or choli is a great way to add a modern twist on that wedding sari or lehenga. It's a great way to show off arm jewelry as well. You can either remove sleeves on your current blouse or buy a separate plainer sleeveless blouse for a great new look.
Recycling Tip 6: Wear it as it is. I know what you are thinking, "I don't want to look like a bride at someone else's wedding (or function)" -- you won't. If you pair the complete lehenga set with simple hair-do, simple(r) jewelry and toned-down make up there is no way you would look like a bride.
