Jennifer Jones Credits Curling Success To Her Lucky Charm

Curling skip Jennifer Jones has a big job ahead of her in the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Canada's women's curling team came close to securing Olympic gold on home soil at the 2010 Games, but ultimately fell to Sweden in the last two founds of the final.

Now it's up to Jones, who scored one of the most memorable curling shots of all time in 2005, and her team to secure victory on her first appearance at the Olympics.

As curling teams hit the rinks, here are a few things to know about the gold medal contender.

Jones hit an incredibly difficult shot while leading Team Manitoba at the 2005 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Down 6-4 against Team Ontario, she banked a rock off the opposing team's stone, then dislodged another in the circle to give her team four points and the win. The move has been hailed as one of the greatest shots in curling history.
