Loaded Beatles fans looking to get their hands on a piece of music history might be interested to know John Lennon’s former house is up for sale.
The Weybridge, Surrey mansion, located 24 miles from central London, was listed at £15 million, according to the Telegraph, but has since been reduced to £13.75 million (roughly $24.77 million CAD). Lennon bought the mansion for £20,000 in 1964, and lived there with his first wife Cynthia until 1968.
The 1,110.4 square-metre home, named Kenwood, sits on 1.50 acres, and has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, six reception rooms, and an indoor pool complex, the listing says.

“Kenwood overlooks magnificent landscaped gardens and grounds and enjoys uninterrupted views of the Surrey Hills,” it reads.
The mock-Tudor mansion, designed by architect T.A. Allen and built in 1913, is on the exclusive St. George’s Hill estate, “one of the UK’s premier private residential addresses.”
But the house’s famous former owner, who reportedly wrote songs for the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album there, is what really makes it special.
“Much of the great British music of the latter part of the 20th century was written here, by an extraordinary young man,” Beatles scholar Mark Lewisohn told the Telegraph. “He was only passing through Weybridge for four years, but they were an incredible four years,” he said.
