When Josiah Duncan saw a homeless man outside a restaurant, the five year old didn't just walk by. Instead the Alabama boy decided to show a level of kindness that will restore anyone's faith in humanity.
His mom, Ava Faulk, says Josiah started asking questions when he first spotted the disheveled man outside the Waffle House restaurant. She told WBTV that he wanted to know what it meant to be homeless. Where was his family? Where does he keep his groceries?
Then he asked his mom if they could buy him a meal. She agreed.
"He came in and sat down, and nobody really waited on him," Faulk explained to WSFA. "So Josiah jumped up and asked him if he needed a menu because you can't order without one."
The man decided on a burger and when it arrived, the boy brought the restaurant to tears when he insisted on singing a prayer before the man ate.
"God our Father, God our Father, we thank you, we thank you, for our many blessings, for our many blessings, Amen, Amen," the little boy sang.
Faulk couldn't be more proud of her son. "You never know who the angel on Earth is, and when the opportunity comes you should never walk away from it," she says.
