Justin Trudeau, Mauril Bélanger, Scott Simms and Frank Valeriote put on brave faces Saturday as they let the winners of a raffle shave off their moustaches at the Liberal convention.
They grew the facial hair this November as part of the
Movember fundraising drive for prostate cancer, but decided to keep the moustaches until the biennial party meeting in Ottawa.
Bélanger told the crowd of mostly female delegates that the four MPs raised $3,000 just by raffling off the privilege of shaving Trudeau's 'Mask of Zorro' look and Simms' handlebars.
Three hundred tickets were sold at $10 a pop, with the money going to the
Judy LaMarsh Fund, which helps female Liberal candidates. Like Huffington Post Canada's Ottawa Bureau Chief Althia Raj's reporter page on Facebook and follow her on Twitter for all the latest news from Parliament Hill. firstname.lastname@example.org
