Kristi Gordon, Pregnant Meteorologist, Asks Viewers To Be Nice

Pregnant B.C. Meteorologist Asks Viewers To Be Nice

Newscasters are like family, so it was only natural that the Global BC News team announced on-air this week that meteorologist Kristi Gordon is expecting her second child.

But Gordon felt compelled to make an unusual plea to viewers: "Now that I've said that I'm pregnant, I would like people to not get upset with me about what I wear during my pregnancy."

In an online segment posted after the announcement, Gordon explained to her co-hosts that during her first pregnancy with her son, people emailed to criticize her wardrobe.

(Watch Gordon's request to viewers at 1:32 of the video above.)

"They would say, 'I can't believe you're wearing horizontal stripes. You look massive.' Or they would complain that I'm wearing high heels. Everything. I couldn't do anything right when it came to clothing."

Gordon continued, gesturing at her stomach: "So please be easy on me, it's not easy to find work clothes when your belly's out to there."

Seriously, people? Gordon has proven that she can battle bugs and get right back to her job with poise. She can wear whatever the heck she wants.
