The 31-year-old transgender actress stars in a new editorial for Yahoo! Style, and it's absolutely stunning.
The Finlay Mackay-photographed shots feature the "Orange Is The New Black" star dressed in garments fit for a queen, including an embellished Saint Laurent cape over an Alaia woll knit dress, an Alaia faux fur bolero and a gold-draped gown by Lanvin.
Her beauty look includes dark, smoky eyes with a purple, vampy lip to add to the glamour.
In her interview with the site, the #TransIsBeautiful advocate talks about her rise to stardom at a time when trans awareness has become more prominent.
“I understand that my rise, if you will, has happened at a specific time culturally,” she says. “It’s a confluence of a lot of things around diversity and racial politics, and it’s about a whole community of trans people speaking up and being more vocal about who they are. I’m not being delusional about how fabulous or amazing I am. These moments pass.”
