Leonardo DiCaprio's 21-Year-Old Swedish Doppelgänger Lands Modelling Gig With Barneys

And it's all thanks to Instagram.

Back in October, the Internet discovered (and totally fell in love with) a 21-year-old Swedish bartender and musician that looks exactly like a young Leonardo DiCaprio.

SWOON!

Since his viral discovery, Konrad Annerud has caught the attention of fashion powerhouses, including Barneys New York, who have just hired the Leo lookalike circa "Romeo + Juliet" for its Ralph Lauren Purple lookbook, which went live online last Sunday.

As noted by Fashionista, Annerud is yet to sign with a modelling agency, so the "arrangement between him and the fashion retailer was coordinated on Instagram." They also reported that the "Swedish skateboarder" is also signed to Universal, as he hopes to pursue a solo music career.

In an interview with Swedish news site nyheter24.se earlier this year, Annerud said the "Titanic" star comparisons get a little annoying from time to time.

"When I was in Italy this summer, I almost felt like shaving my hair off," Annerud confessed. "It was very chaotic; people were yelling 'Leo' and wanted to take photos with me all the time. It was one of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced."

And this isn't the first time a studly skateboarder has landed a fairy tale like model contract. In 2015, with the help of supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, homeless skateboarder John Economou (a.k.a."Romeo of Venice Beach") landed a modelling contract for his "cute" looks.

Looks like this is another win for the digital modelling world that is Instagram.
