The "12 Years A Slave" star knocked it out of the park at the 2014 Golden Globes wearing an outfit so incredible that we're sure it will go down in Golden Globe red carpet history: A cape!

Channeling Gwyneth Paltrow's white Tom Ford Oscar look, the Kenyan star wore a red Oscar de la Renta ensemble that featured an off-the-shoulder cape attached to a long column gown.

The style star, who is nominated for her breakout role as Patsey in the Steve McQueen film, proved that she is truly a chameleon on the red carpet by wearing the unexpected look.
