A man who could be the oldest human being to ever walk the earth says he is finally ready to die.
Mbah Gotho, who claims to be 145 years old, started preparing for his death in 1992, according to The Independent. He's outlived all his wives, siblings, and children.

“What I want is to die," Gotho told local media, according to The Telegraph. "My grandchildren are all independent.”
The Indonesian's identity card says he was born on Dec. 31, 1870. That date has been verified by Indonesian authorities, but it has yet to be confirmed by third parties — a prerequisite for naming him the world's oldest person.

With his eyesight failing, Gotho mostly listens to the radio, according to International Business Times. He also needs to be bathed and spoon-fed.
He said his secret to long life is "patience."

Jeanne Calment holds the record of oldest person. The Frenchwoman lived to be 122 before she died in 1997.
