Moncton Shooting Memorial Sees People Leave Porch Lights On (VIDEO, TWEETS)

Canadians Put Their Lights On For Moncton

People across Canada lit candles and left their porch lights on to honour three victims who died in shootings in Moncton, N.B.

Dozens of people tweeted photos Thursday of the lights outside their homes as the Mounties closed in on Justin Bourque, who was arrested in connection with shootings that killed RCMP constables David Ross, Douglas James Larche and Fabrice Georges Gevaudan.

The Codiac RCMP had asked Moncton residents to keep their porch lights on to help police.

A candlelit vigil has been organized at RCMP headquarters in Moncton at 7:30 p.m. local time on Friday. Over 1,600 people have committed to attending, according to the event's Facebook page.
