Morning Sickness Smoothie: This Delicious Blend Will Banish Nausea

You probably already have the ingredients on hand.

Morning sickness might be good for baby, but most moms will agree it's absolutely dreadful.

Fortunately there are ways to reduce nausea— and some of them are actually delicious! In the video above by Wild Dish, lifestyle expert Danielle Hayley shares a simple anti-nausea smoothie perfect for expectant mums or anyone else who wakes to an upset tummy.

All you need is five ingredients (which you might already have on hand). To start things off use half a cup of Greek yogurt which is a great source of protein and calcium. If you're lactose intolerant, feel free to substitute with a nut-based yogurt.

The only other ingredient that may pose a bit of a challenge for moms expecting later in the year is watermelon, which may be scarce this time of year. Watermelon is often recommended to pregnant women because it eases heartburn and reduces swelling. Look to your local salad bar for pre-cut watermelon, which is often available year-round. We promise it'll be worth the splurge.

Newly pregnant and not sure when morning sickness might hit you? According to doctors, morning sickness tends to take place between weeks six and eight. If you're past that point there's no need to worry, a very lucky 30 per cent of expectant moms never experience nausea while pregnant.
