Nancy Loo, WGN Reporter, Tells People 'Don't Be Stupid' When It's Cold Outside

"Finally some authenticity."

“It is dang cold.”

That’s how WGN reporter Nancy Loo kicked off her weather report Wednesday, shooting a live hit outside in -15 C weather with wind chills bringing temperatures to as low as -29 C.

But before throwing the camera back to the studio, Loo had one piece of cold weather advice for viewers: “Don’t be stupid, back to you.”

Her parka-less colleagues inside the WGN studio gave a standing ovation, applauding her no bullshit, cut-to-the-chase style.

“Finally some authenticity,” praised anchor Larry Potash.
