Sir Paul McCartney is expected to be well again just days from now.
The Beatles singer was hospitalized in Japan after falling ill from a severe virus.
And the star’s spokesperson assures fans Paul will be back on his feet in no time.
“[He] will make a complete recovery and has been ordered to take a few days’ rest,” reads a statement issued to Page Six by his publicist.
Paul is currently being treated for his malady and it seems his fans are aiding his health.
The musician appreciates all the love and support he is receiving as he recuperates.
“Paul has been extremely moved by all the messages and well wishes he has received from fans all over the world,” his spokesman said.
The 71-year-old singer arrived in Japan to perform his Out There! series of shows earlier this month, however he has since cancelled these performances and his upcoming concerts in South Korea.
When news broke that his Japan and South Korea tours were being cancelled, a message was posted on Paul's website in which he apologized to fans.
“Doctors have ordered Paul complete rest and he has been doing all he can to get better," it read.
“Paul has only ever had to reschedule a handful of shows in his entire career and is so upset about this situation. He hates to let people down.”
The musician added: "Unfortunately my condition has not improved overnight. I’m so disappointed and sorry to be letting my fans down."
Paul's next stage performances will see him touring North America and aren't until mid-June, with no suggestion that they are under threat at the moment.
