We all know the joy of new (and cute) workout wear, and the motivation that comes along with it.
But for many years, the only option plus-size women had for workout wear, was to pick up loose-fitted stretchy pants and a baggy tee. I don't know about you, but I do not find that very motivating. That's because there was a misconception that fuller women did not have any interest in working out. And so, as the market didn't see the demand, there was no supply.
However, the growing awareness of "healthy at any size" has forced brands and retailers to step up. Women of all sizes are excited to stay healthy and be active, and every woman deserves the right to feel great in what she is wearing. Now we have an exciting array of activewear to choose from for yoga, running, water sports and even golf.
Hopefully, with the help of these brands, we will finally put to rest the myth that plus-size women are not active, and continue to motivate women of all sizes to participate in fitness in ways they never could have imagined before.
