Did a Cochrane family make the grim discovery of a human head this weekend?
According to CBC Calgary, RCMP major crimes unit was called to a scene just south of town early Saturday morning, where children playing outside their home made a gruesome discovery of what could possibly be a human head.
Police confirmed to CTV Calgary that the remains were found in an advanced stage if decomposition and RCMP spokesperson Doris Stapleton told the Calgary Herald "we are hoping that the (medical examiner) will be able to further examine either (Monday) or Tuesday."

A report on whether the remains are human or not is expected today.
