This long weekend, we'll be celebrating Canada Day and how proud we are to be such a diverse bunch of polite and quirky Canucks, but we'll also be revelling at the biggest party of the year in honour of gay pride.
Pride Week, which culminates in the massive Toronto Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30 — in one of the most progressive countries and cities in the world — is also one of the largest events of its kind, with an estimated 1.2 million people in attendance.
