Prince Harry Says He Would 'Love To Have Kids,' Makes Us Swoon

The countdown is on!

He's said it before, but this time it means so much more.

During an interview with The Telegraph‘s Mad World podcast, Prince Harry, 32, reiterated his desire to start a family.

“Of course, I would love to have kids,” he told host Bryony Gordon. Harry, who is currently dating Toronto-based actress Meghan Markle, first told Sky News he wanted to start a family of his own back in May of 2015.

"Of course, I would love to have kids right now, but there's a process that one has to go through, and tours like this are great fun," the prince said.

Since then, the prince has come a long way. And with Markle by his side, many suspect the "process" is well on its way. The pair, who have been dating for nearly a year, have many speculating an upcoming engagement.

Like the prince, Markle, 35, has also recently expressed her desire to start a family of her own. In an interview with Hello! magazine last November Markle confessed, "I also dream to have a family. It's all about balance, and I have so much happiness in my career and am fortunate to travel the world and see so many amazing things — it will also be nice to be anchored to something grounded and in the same place. Raising a family will be a wonderful part of that."

The couple not only seem perfectly aligned with their desires, they also appear to be completely ready for the job. Harry is not only an uncle of two, he's also a godfather to six of his friend's children — who he says keep him in touch with his "childhood side."

“If that means going to someone’s house, sitting there and playing PlayStation, kicking the ass of their son on CounterStrike, or Halo, or whatever it is, then I’ll try and do that,” he revealed.

For her part, Markle also seems to be close to her friends' kids, posting pictures with close friend Jessica Mulroney's daughter and her own goddaughters.
