Rachel McAdams Goes Platinum Blond Just In Time For The 2016 Oscars

A major makeover just in time for Sunday's Oscars.

Canada's sweetheart, Rachel McAdams, is gearing up for the 2016 Oscars on Sunday with a brand new 'do...and we're loving it.

The "Spotlight" actress, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, opted to ditch her golden locks for something with a bit more edge. Yup, we're talking platinum.

The London, Ont. native stepped out in a stunning royal blue David Koma gown at the Vanity Fair and Barneys New York private dinner party at Chateau Marmont Wednesday, flaunting her newly lightened locks in a chic bob.

Sporting a red lip and blushed cheeks, the 37-year-old, who is a natural brunette, rocked the look with confidence. Yes, we usually see McAdams with blond locks (since her days as Regina George, actually), but she often sports the colour with dark roots. This new look is sophisticated and trendy, and she pulls it off oh-so-well.

Now, we can't wait to see how the actress styles the new 'do on Sunday's 2016 Oscars red carpet!
