Rick Mercer Mocks Vancouver's Astronomical Housing Prices

To be fair, a shed could come at a reasonable rate.

Vancouver's housing prices aren't funny to those don't have $1 million sitting in the bank — but Rick Mercer went and made a joke out of the market anyway.

The "Rick Mercer Report" host lampooned the West Coast city's outrageous real estate prices in a segment that was posted to YouTube on Wednesday.

In the clip, he shows off properties that could pass for affordable housing in Vancouver.

Like a garden shed.

Or a "wall room" — basically a dent inside someone else's house.

The skit came as the average price of a detached home in Vancouver has shot past $1.8 million.

Give Mercer credit for finding something funny about that.
