One of the few silver linings to Target's withdrawal from Canada are the liquidation sales many customers are eagerly awaiting.
The corporation, which is shutting down its 133 stores across Canada, took to Twitter to answer its customers’ most pressing question: When will sales begin?

UPDATE: According to emails obtained by CBC News, Target Canada will launch its liquidation sale on Thursday, Feb. 5.
"We expect Thursday sales to double compared to a normal Thursday," an internal email stated.
A Target employee told the broadcaster that Thursday "will be like Black Friday."

According to CTV News, the company is currently awaiting court approval of a liquidator as part of its bankruptcy process, after which sales to clear inventory will be in full swing. But bargain hunters will have to keep their eyes peeled for sales. The company won't be advertising closing sales with signs, reports The Globe and Mail.
While some customers are gearing up to nab deals on everything from clothing to furniture, others are more wary of the sales, pointing out many shelves have been empty since before Target announced its departure from Canada.
Whether they're successful or not, shoppers still have a few months to scour stores before they shut down. According to The Globe, all stores are expected to close by May 15, though many will be shut before then.
