I have always been fascinated by horoscopes and it seems they are more popular now than ever. I do find that there are common threads to a person's astrology sign and their personality traits. But I am not an expert!

The Saturn Sisters are Stefanie Iris Weiss and Sherene Schostak, and they shared their insights on how horoscopes work and who can use them.

What is the brief history of horoscopes and how did you get into this field?

The art of astrology is quite ancient, going all the way back to the Babylonians and crossing almost every culture on Earth. But the history of horoscopes -- written forecasts for each sign of the zodiac on a daily, weekly or monthly basis -- that goes back to the early part of the 20th century. It's a staple of women's magazines, of course, but has expanded exponentially thanks to the Internet.

Why are horoscopes important in our daily lives?

Horoscopes are a wonderful tool for getting a sense of the energy available on any given day -- they give us a map for how to best tap into the potential for our zodiac sign, showing us what we might feel, what we'll be able to communicate, and what to avoid. It's especially useful for navigating challenges and knowing when you, or the people around you, might be particularly irritable.

How to know when a reading or horoscope is reliable?

This is a tough one -- there are so many people doing forecasts online today and not all of them have authentic astro-chops. It's best to look for astrologers that have a solid background and affiliation with some kind of major media outlet, a magazine or something online. There are hundreds of people blogging out there, and some of them are truly awesome, but search for astrologers that are vetted and have been in the business for a while to get the most out of it.

Who reads horoscopes?

EVERYONE! It used to be mainly women, but men seem to be more and more into astrology these days. It's been going mainstream in a big way in the last five years, and we couldn't be happier to hear from clients across the spectrum of gender, age, and background -- it's really for all of us.

How can a person use the horoscope information to help their daily lives?

It's terrific for keeping track of excellent days for romance, creativity, or days when you'll be extra productive.

Any other tips?

Try to read your horoscope first thing in the morning to get the most of it, and don't forget your monthly forecast at the beginning of the month! You can also check back at mid-month to see how you've fared, if you've forgotten any of the specifics.

I will continue to enjoy horoscopes and will share my experiences. If you have ideas or questions about horoscopes please leave a comment below and I will do my best to find the answer for you.

Your suggestions are always welcome, as I continue on my journey to enjoy life to the fullest. Let's have the very best 2015!
