A white weekend on B.C.'s South Coast continues into Monday with snowfall warnings still in effect for many regions.
Five to 10 centimetres of snow is forecast to fall in the Lower Mainland and Victoria, while East Vancouver Island and the Southern Gulf Islands are expected to receive 10 to 15 centimetres on Monday, The Weather Network reports.
Vancouver Island residents are among the worst hit. The poor weather had left nearly 18,000 islanders without power on Monday morning, according to CBC News. Several schools were also closed.
Airports, including Vancouver International, reported some delays due to the weather.
Over the weekend, "snow bombs" were falling from the Port Mann Bridge in Coquitlam, Global News reported.
City of Vancouver salting crews are out Monday and will continue to work through the night as the snow continues to fall, said a city press release.
All Vancouver property owners and tenants are required to clear the snow and ice that surrounds their property by 10 a.m. on the morning of a snowfall.
If this guy can do it, so can we.
