The world just got a little more adorable.
Earlier this week, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding delivered female twin panda cubs to their mother โ seven-year old panda Kelin, International Business Times reports.
The pandas, who have yet to be named, are believed to be the first pandas born this year.
Kelin was artificially inseminated just four months ago in an effort to boost the population of the endangered species. According to the World Wildlife Fund, there are only 1,826 giant pandas remaining in the wild.
The twins โ who weighed in at 118 grams and 70g โ were put on display by researchers just two days after being born. Though the cubs have yet to open their eyes, Wu Kongiu, a chief administrator at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, said the twins were in good condition, CTV News reports.
