canadian comedians

We set a dangerous precedent when we give tens of millions of views to videos so obviously phony as that one. We make it worse when we then invite the people who make them to go on TV and pretend they're somehow authentic. We wind up telling people that simply being a jerk is a viable talent to be paraded around.
If there's one thing you can say for Canadians, it's that we're good for a laugh. Several, in fact.
2013-09-26-JFL42banner.jpg I love seeing non-Canadian comedians in Canada, because they always let the nation-specific jokes fly. Sure, we're easy to laugh at -- if you don't actually know anything about us. Some people, however, like Janeane Garofalo are up on their Canadian trivia.
As much as it seems like comedy is a calling, it doesn't mean my first night was perfect by any means. As a matter of fact, upon reviewing footage, I noted that I barely made it to the stage. Nerves don't discriminate.
