This edition includes a workout format, helpful tips for eating out, a mindfulness trick for improved posture, and a life mantra that has profoundly improved my daily existence.
Focus on duration first, intensity second.
It is summer, and our thoughts and bodies lead us to the great outdoors. When you're outside enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, sometimes the last thing you want to do is pack up a gym bag and head into a climate-controlled (or hot and sweaty!) gym for a workout.

Cleaning. It's a necessary evil. It's also one of the top excuses given when people are asked why they didn't fit a workout in. Too many chores. Vacuuming to be done. Dishes to wash. Loads of laundry to fold. The list goes on. Certainly those chores do indeed need to be done, but the incredible thing about fitness is that you can fit it in while you complete your household chores.
Excessive cardio could be inflicting unseen and unfelt damage. All body systems are important, but a weak cardiovascular system will not transport blood, oxygen, and nutrients, affecting every other system in a profound way. In short, yes, you need to exercise to improve your cardio health.
The truth is, if it wasn't for people like Tracy, there would be no one left in the fitness industry to break boundaries of fitness training. The studies I've done in class, the practical learning I've done with hundreds of clients, and the training I've done as a competitive athlete has proven futile now that we've been exposed to the painful reality of what fitness training should be all about.
If you are asking why you should be doing cardio again then think of increasing your endurance so that when walk up a set of stairs in your high heels, you won't be out of breath. Also, if you want to get lean, cardio is a MUST. So here are five options for you!
