Most of us have rules about our phones. No phones at the dinner table. No phones in the bedroom. No phones while flying, driving, or walking. Instead of a rule, let's make a choice. Let's decide to make connections with people, situations and experiences, and see how much better life is.
I believe that if institutions create greater educational and economic opportunities for women, we would immediately begin to see the positive impact on society. In my opinion, the Italian Government should highlight the capabilities of girls by creating more opportunities for dialogue to influence policies that benefit women and girls.
Cultivating confidence in the face of a challenge is one of the most important things we can do to create a fit mind and body. Having confidence is like having a silent superpower that plays a key role in success.
We all have the choice to give up or tackle our challenge. There are many different challenges we will all face in our lives. I hope that my story of the biggest challenge I've faced so far, and my decision to push forward everyday will inspire you to also make the choice to tackle any challenge you face.
Next time that you feel your mind is going towards a negative path -- think about what makes you smile which will help put the negative thoughts in perspective. Take a walk, go to your favorite coffee shop around the corner, call your best friend or look at pictures of your dog on your phone.
At the end of the day, the Facebook motherhood challenge doesn't make us measure ourselves in an unfair way. We do enough of that on our own. Is there anything wrong with singling out your mum friends to tell them you think they're doing a great job? Hell no. Am I proud to be a mum? Hell yes.
More and more organizations hire entrepreneurs whose purpose it is to either create, build, innovate or restructure and ensure faster organizational development or growth. By using entrepreneurs to take control of and accelerate development, companies whose foundations are based on strong intrapreneurial values attract like magnets candidates with those same values.
There is a whole science to our habits, how they are triggered, carried out and the reward we get from them. There is a whole scientific method to shifting our habits so they stick and actually support real life changes. Part of that method is to start small with a new habit that you can't say no to.
Some people are born optimists and some people are born pessimists. Fortunately, that doesn't mean you can't change and become more optimistic. Although the world these days seems to encourage pessimism, it doesn't mean you have to be that way, and it doesn't mean you have to stay that way if you are already pessimistic by nature.
Being a good parent isn't always about supporting your child in their endeavours no matter what. Was it better that we showed our children our support even though we knew the probable outcome, or would it have been a more prudent decision to have been honest with them from the outset, saving them from wasting time and worse -- the inevitable disappointment of failure?
