Coming from the GMO biotech industry, the term "sound science" rings extremely hollow. The industry carries out inadequate, short-term studies and conceals the data produced by its research under the guise of commercial confidentiality while independent research highlights the dangers of its products.
If not repaired, the unhappy Gen Xers who will remain in organizations will be unable to pick up the slack caused by retiring boomers and will stall the development of millennials. Gen Xers are currently supervising millennials bosses. So when observers warn of millennials leaving the workforce in droves, they might want to first investigate their Gen X bosses and their feelings of value.
Corporate empowerment deals, including the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the as yet unratified Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPPA), a bilateral agreement with China, empower corporations to the extent that government legislation becomes subordinated to corporate profits. There are ways to combat this, but it will not be easy.
