What motivates women to spend so much money in an attempt to retain their youthful beauty, when too often the results have them looking like an "unreal" version of their former self? (That's being kind.) Do women really believe beauty comes from the outside-in?
I think the biggest ruse that women try to sell themselves, and each other, is that WE are aging naturally. While some of us are 'maturing' better than others, my belief is that after a certain age most women are actively doing their personal best to slow down father time -- they're just not telling anyone about it.
I admit I'm still the little girl who believes in happily ever after, but I'm aware how that must start with happiness from within instead of looking for something out there to "complete me."
